Hello and welcome to my journey across marketing and communications, countries and cultures. Our lives are constantly changing and so am I, driven to self development and learning new things.

Professional me

My career in marketing and communications started by chance but I have never looked back.

Having completed my CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing, I dreamt about creative work. In 2006, I started at an integrated agency Mason Zimbler in Bristol, in the UK, working for Microsoft. I won a ‘Microsoft Agency Person of the Year’ award’ but I craved a ‘big city’ adventure.

In 2009 I moved to Proximity London (now RAPP), where I experienced the creation of award-winning offline and online campaigns (my projects won Gold DMA awards). I was working with best creative talent and London agencies. I was promoted to Account Director and I grew my Philadelphia cheese account by 260% in less than 1.5 years, and also gained a European markets coordination for this account.

As a winner of an internal talent development programme, I travelled to Brazil to develop a charity comms campaigns for a recycling NGO, having first self-raised the marketing budget and learnt basic Portuguese.

In 2012, I joined a youth marketing agency Livity to use my communications skills for good causes. I delivered a range of projects for non-for-profit, utility, education, and public-sector clients, learning research and insights skills.

Being at a career crossroads, I went freelance developing a range of projects. Among these were development of a digital toolkit, social media channels management and workshops I ran teaching digital skills.

In 2016, I moved to France, where I experienced in-house marketing for a SaaS organisation Rakuten Aquafadas (now Rakuten DX). Within a few years, I was promoted to Head of Marcomms, part of the senior management team. My key responsibilities were developing and optimising content, lead gen and strategic marketing.

In 2019/2020 I completed a new professional qualification: Advanced Certificate in Social and Market Research (awarded distinction and merit).

Currently I am freelancing as a Marketing Co-Lead for The International Association of Amusement Parks (EMEA region) and Attractions IAAPA, representing over 7,000 amusement-industry members in more than 100 countries worldwide. I am in charge of 360 marketing including strategic planning and execution of events marketing, trade media liaison and negotiation, social media, membership marketing and newsletter, sustainability initiatives, intracompany exchanges and cooperation with other IAAPA regions and marketing counterparts and coordination of external agencies and suppliers.

From September 2023 I started my journey as practicioner lecturer teaching digital marketing and communications at University of Montpellier (IUT Nimes).

Adventurous me

I am driven by challenges and adventure in private and professional life. I lived in a Brazilian favela while working on a comms campaign for a local NGO. I have skydived and ran two half marathons.

Geeky me

When at home, I am a bit of a geek, interested in reading and learning through podcasts about current affairs, history, healthy living and self-development.

I enjoy helping others through purpose first actions including: teaching students, youth development, mentoring, sustainability and women in tech initiatives.
