Management of a digital marketing apprenticeship programme designed to open up work opportunities for young people. Youth mentoring, liaison with employer brands, and hard and soft skills development.

Background

How to help young people move on from the individual struggle of being workless? By giving them the opportunity to blossom as creative professionals through digital marketing training and work placements.

Livity

Livity is a specialist youth marketing agency. With youth being at a core of everything they do, they decided to launch their own apprenticeship programme Livity Advantage. The key objective was to support young people by offering them an intensive digital marketing training combined with work experience opportunities at the large UK employers.

Livity Youth Marketing

Approach

Delivered with a team of youth experts, working as a Digital Account Director at Livity, I was responsible for two areas:

  • Day-to-day contact with work experience brands who opened their doors to young people, such as: Google, Virgin Atlantic, British Gas and the Guardian.
  • Support and mentoring of seven ‘Advantagers’ working alongside Livity youth experts.

It was a thrilling and highly interesting project. Seeing young people learning and turning into successful professionals was the greatest motivation.
